Grassroot Community Based Organization, GCBO is a non-profit, community-led initiative based in Kisii and Nyamira Counties, Kenya. We are dedicated to creating sustainable change by addressing critical needs across education, health, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), economic empowerment, environment and climate change, and the protection of human rights.
We serve a diverse and vulnerable population, including women, youth, orphans, people living with HIV/AIDS, GBV survivors, LGBTQ individuals, widows, widowers, persons with disabilities, adolescents, school-going children, school dropouts, young single mothers, the aged, marginalized and vulnerable communities, farmers, boda boda riders, the unemployed, drug addicts, alcoholics, and street children.
